I love our girl Marilyn! She inspires people to be the kind and loving human being that she was. She longed so much for true friends that love her for herself. I think she would be very proud of the friends that have come together out of their love for her. I have been a fan for 20 years. I was about 13 yrs old and saw an ad for maxwell video tapes in a magazine. I wondered who the beautiful blond lady was and after a little research I was hooked. I think it's great that her fan base continues to grow with the younger generations. She will forever live in our hearts.

wow where do i start!!!lol i can't really put a date on when i became a Marilyn Monroe fan. I guess i could say that she and I have a lot of things in common. Her words were very beautiful, sad but strong, the things she said about how she wanted to be loved. I felt like i was like her i guess you could say. Her beauty inside and out really just made me absolutely luv her!!!! She didn't care what she wore she did everything on her own. you know i would say high school was when i just really like became a fan. i was starting to break out of a shell and i really looked up to her during that time and still today. wow there's so much more but i think that's where it stated. wow!!! thank you for that!!!!

I loved Marilyn Monroe ever since i saw her singing "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend". She was so pretty in that pink dress. But she has pretty girl syndrome. Pretty girl syndrome is when people dont like you cause your pretty & they think your conceited. I feel like i have that too.

I have felt connected to Marilyn as long as i can remember, from the first time i ever saw her, probably sometime in the 50's, i was still young, but i remember hearing her name a lot, then when i actually saw a picture of her, i wanted to look just like her! There was just something about her, a sad loneliness about her, i just felt it. She smiled so much on the outside, but i'm sure she was hurting so much on the inside. I know, because i've lived a lot of my life exactly like that, after awhile you can spot the loneliness and hurt in someone. She just wanted to be wonderful, as she said, she needed acceptance and love, and she wanted people to take her work seriously! When i look at a picture of her, her eyes tell a story, there was still a sad little girl inside there, a little girl that suffered much pain. I feel she was a beautiful actress and talented, if only she had lived, i think she would have achieved what she wanted with her career. I've never felt this way about another actress, for some reason, she shined in my book, and she always will. The more i see and read about her, i would have loved to have been best friends with her, wouldn't that have been a great thing? As far as her death, i really don't know what to believe, but i tend to think she really didn't intend to die. I will always remember her as a super star, that was gone too soon, she was just much too young to die.

We have a lot of things to remember her by, but all we really need is to think of her with a lot of love in our hearts, and how wonderful she was, after all, that's what she wanted, right? xoxoxo ~~Glenda                              http://www.myspace.com/badgirlrunninglivecom

well I started loving Marilyn when I was young because many people said I looked like her of course I really didn't. I loved her movies and vaonibilty she seemed real like one of us made mistakes and was so sweet.                                                 I remember when she dies it was like losing someone close you felt so bad. there was so much talk about it and to this day I don't think we are sure what really happen, it's all a mystery. I think she would like that and never growing old.        Wings of wind

I first found Marilyn when I was 11 years old. My mum had bought a magazine and on the cover was a picture of a very beautiful blonde woman. I read the article about this lady who had died tragically 21 years ago. I was so fascinated about her that I went to the local library and got as many books about her . This was the start of my love of Marilyn Monroe and also my love of reading biographies.                  Once i knew a bit more about Marilyn, I started to look for her films at the local video store. The first one i watched was Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and I was totally hooked. I was 12 years old and singing songs from the film which made my mum laugh but then she encouraged me to watch more of Marilyn's films.                                                                 I then started to buy every magazine or newspaper that would have articles about her and then found postcards. Unfortunately, over the years my magazine and newpaper clippings have got lost as I have moved homes quite a few times, but I still have my postcards and people send me Marilyn birthday cards.                                                                      I dont have a large collection of marilyn things, although i would love to, but my small collection consists of two dvd boxsets, six books, loads of postcards, a couple of beautful ornimental boxes, a reproduction of the Seven Year Itch and Lets Make Love Cinema posters and one of my best friends recently bought me a limited edition print which is stunning. My two daughters love Marilyn - especially my youngest, Lilly who is 4 years old and she loves to sing Diamonds are a girls best friend and when it's someones birthday she will sing Happy Birthday in the same way as Marilyn.  Emma

I became Marilyn-fan when I was 13 years old. I saw beautifull pictures of her, and wanted them in my bedroom. She was the most pretty woman I ever saw on a picture! I wanted to look at her, but pitty for me, I had black hair. So I created my hair, just like her. And these days, I have my hair just like her.  Much love, Georgine

I LOVE MARILYN MONROE, SHE HAS BEEN MY IDOL SINCE I WAS IN 4TH GRADE. I LOVE HER AND I THINK SHE WAS WONDERFUL. I WANT PEOPLE TO OVER LOOK HER DEATH AND SEE HER FOR THE GREAT TALENT SHE WAS. ON AUGUST 4TH 1962 THE WORLD WEPT. WE LOST A TRUE LEGEND. MY NAME IS CIERRA TATE. IM 17 YEARS OLD AND EVER SINCE I CAN REMBER MARILYN MONROE HAS BEEN A PART OF MY LIFE. I REMBER THE DAY I DISCOVERED HER. I WAS IN 4TH GRADE AROUND THE AGE OF 10. I WAS WALKING THROUGH A BOOK STORE WITH MY MOM AND SAW THIS BOOK WITH A HUGE FACE OF THIS WOMAN. SHE WAS THE PRETTIEST FACE I HAD EVER SEEN. SHE WAS MY MARILYN. FROM THEN ON OUT ITS BEEN A LOVE AFFAIR I GUESS. IM FASCINATED BY THIS WOMAN WHOS BEEN DEAD FOR 46 YEARS. MARILYN MONROE TO ME WAS AND IS THE APPITMY OF SEX APPEAL AND BEAUTY. I TRULY BELIEVE THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER MARILYN MONROE. SHE WAS AN ORIGINAL. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE SPECIAL TO MY HEART. I UNDERSTAND HER PAIN AS I WOULD EXPECT SHE WOULD UNDERSTAND MINE. SHE WAS SO MUCH MORE THAN WHAT THE WORLD PERCEIVES HER TO BE. I DO THINK THAT THE MYSTERYS SURROUNDING HER DEATH HAVE TAKEN AWAY FROM HER TALENT AND MEMORY. WE NEED TO FOCUS ON THE GOOD TIMES IN MARILYNS CARRER AND LIFE INSTEAD OF THE BAD. SHE DIED WAY TO YOUNG, BUT I KNOW THROUGH FANS LIKE ME AND ALL YOU OTHERS, WE CAN KEEP HER MEMORY ALIVE FOREVER. I LOVE LOOKING AT PHOTOS OF MARILYN. MY FAVORITES ARE THE ONES BERT STERN TOOK. MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF MARILYN'S WAS GENTLEMAN PREFER BLONDES. I JUST LOVE FINDING NEW PLACES TO WEAR DIAMONDS! I ONCE HEARD THAT NORMA JEANE IS THE ONE WHO REALLY DIED, BECAUSE MARILYN MONROE WILL BE KEPT ALIVE FOREVER, AND SHE WILL. BUT LETS JUST NEVER FORGET WHO NORMA JEANE REALLY WAS, BECAUSE THATS WHO MARILYN REALLY IS. NORMA JEANE IS THE ONE I TRULY LOVE. REST IN PEACE

Hi ya I became a marilyn monroe fan three and a half years ago. It all started with a book that was given to me by a friend. After that i started to collect all of her things like plates, dolls, videos, etc. I just think she is a fantastic person and very liked across the world, I enjoy meeting other marilyn monroe fans.

hiya!

Ohhh gosh... It was loonnnggg time ago. When i was child I saw a pic of Marilyn and I thought she was Madonna... hahahahahahaha.. I asked my mother and she explained me she was Marilyn Moroe, an icon of the first part of the century. Afterwards, I started looking for info about her cuz I was so curious of how beautiful she was (and actually is!). It's pretty much how I "knew" her.I reckon she is the best example of beauty of all times ;) Have a wonderful day! xoxox
